I wonder why I'm afraid of calling people, but not afraid of answering the phone. I also have a difficult time talking to people when I call them, but not when I am called. Is it because I am making an effort to reach out, but am terrified of rejection?

I've always known that I hated calling people, but it just occurred to me that my phobia is strange (aren't all phobias?). I even suffer anxiety when calling my parents.

Weird.
