(no subject)

I would like to start scribbling my thoughts here again.

Aside from using it as a vehicle to peak at lives of people long lost, I loathe the entire concept of Facebook.  I feel dumber for having spent as much time on it has I have.  I'd much rather read a thoughtfully written post here than look at an endless stream of idiotic political photo memes, or relationship status changes that frequent my "friends" feed on Facebook. I miss the art of sharing one's journal.  It's more intimate, expressive and loving.

My goal is to write here at least once a week (probably Monday, since I have the day off from work and am free of distractions), and use this vehicle more than I do Twitter, Facebook or Google+.

We'll see how that goes...
